Case Study
Sysop

SYSOP is an IT Training and Professional Services company based in Heywood. They specialise in providing in-house and on-site training courses, particularly in the ITIL discipline, as well as a range of technical consultancy services.

The Brief

The brief was to create a more modern, search-engine friendly site that would have the professionalism and flexibility to appeal to the largely corporate IT base of SYSOP’s B2B customers. The site had to be content-managed by SYSOP, in particular the complicated training course matrix. A user registration facility was required, allowing site users access to downloadable resources and easy course booking, as well as a company-level discount scheme.

Our Solution

Having worked with SYSOP’s complex training course collection before, we knew that the end solution had to be intelligent enough to cope with the different types of course structures and bundle combinations.

A database-driven solution was created, using RO Web Solutions in-house-developed framework, which allows a range of courses, course categories, course sets and schedules to be managed in an easy-to use interface.

The bespoke CMS (content management system), crafted in-house, also allows SYSOP admins to fully manage the courses, course bundles, voucher system and scheduled course dates.

The system also incorporates news, adverts and testimonial modules, as well as user and resource management. There is also a premium membership service that provides online e-Learning courses for various ITIL courses, and registered users can be granted access to the courses they require, via the admin control panel.

The site has a modern design aesthetic and is mobile friendly with a streamlined course price and discount mechanism and course booking interface.
